Playground of the rich and famous, the Côte
d’Azur boasts the Mediterranean coastline and
conjures up images of long days of sunshine, elegant
palm tree lined boulevards and warm seas.
Home to Saint Tropez and one of the world’s
most prestigious film festivals in Cannes, this area
is known for its luxury villas and private beaches
whilst Nice is the business centre and main port of
the region.
The quieter department of the Var, further west along
the coast, offers a more traditional lifestyle, with
many Provençal influences, protected hillsides
and picturesque inland villages.
