Signing the Deed of Sale

Once all the administrative procedure has been completed and the finances are in place the French Notaire will be in a position to complete the purchase of your French property with the signing of the Deed of Sale (signature de l’Acte Authentique). You will be invited to come to his office (l’Etude Notariale) to do this. Arrangements for an interpreter to assist you will be made if necessary and a charge may be levied for this service.

If you cannot travel to France for the signing of the Deed you are able to complete by Power of Attorney (Procuration) in the UK. You will need to appoint a UK solicitor / Notary Public specialising in French conveyancing.
