Completing the purchase

Signing the Deed of sale

Signing the Deed of sale will complete the purchase of your new build apartment or house in France.

There are two ways to do this. Do let us know nearer the time of your choice:

You can either travel to the French Notaire’s office and sign the documents in his presence or that of his qualified assistant (Clerc de Notaire).

Simply contact us to arrange an appointment. By law an interpretor is required to be present for whom there will be an additional cost (approximately € 200) payable to the Notaire’s office.

Or you can sign the Deed of Sale by Power of Attorney (Procuration) with a qualified Notary Public in the UK who specialises in French conveyancing. We are able to recommend a number of specialist UK firms to assist you in this step.
